Gina Keiko Friesicke

Gina Keiko is 12 years old, and her home is in Detmold, Germany. She started playing the violin at the age of three. Gina won her first major music awards at the famous German youth music competition “Jugend musiziert” in 2010, 2012, and 2013. Her outstanding performance at “Jugend musiziert” in 2012 in Cologne was selected for the Prizewinners Concert to be broadcasted via WDR Radio, one of the major German public radio stations.

In April 2014, Gina successfully applied to the Music Academy in Detmold as a junior student and is now studying with Professor Koh Gabriel Kameda.

In October 2014, she made her debut as a soloist with the Leipzig Symphonic Orchestra, playing Henryk Wieniawski’s second violin concerto.

In November 2014, she participated in the master class of world-famous violinist Midori at the Music Academy in Detmold.
